Description
X1846, X8235, X8246 and others – also known as X8202, M2209 and M1799.
This is the same motor that Hornby use in their motor frame X1847 which they use in 0-6-0 locos shown on Hornby Service Sheets No.139 and No.201. It is also used for Thomas the Tank Engine and some of his friends, as shown on Service Sheet No.139.
It is also used in the 0-4-0 ‘Pug’ shown on Service Sheet No.214 and the 0-6-0 Terrier on Service Sheets No.214 and No.216. Amongst other locos it will also fit the J94 shown on Service Sheet No.211 and the Class 142 Pacer..
Hornby have made this motor for many years, with slightly different external designs, but the dimensions have remained the same. The output shaft is 1.5/1.6 mm. As pictured, it does not come with a worm gear. If you need any more information, please let us know. Thank you.
We have a number of these, all of which were delivered to me in the manufacturer’s original storage trays. They are not packeted, but are all brand new, and would have been used in locos on the production line.
