The top double drive gear part of this gear set can be used as a direct replacement for the X8849 double drive gear. The idler gear is NOT the same, but these are rarely the ones that split. The gears of this set can also be removed from the axle and used as a replacement for the gears from X9993. However, you will have to use the original axle from the X9993, as the axle from X6171 is too long.
